Registration problems help page
If you've just registered and WebCam Recorder is having problems registering this checklist should help you sort things out.
- Double check that you have downloaded and installed the full registered version - it is not possible to convert the trial version into a registered version. If you haven't downloaded yet go here
- Check that you are actually running the full version and your system isn't still linking to the trial version. The full version will display a registration information screen and not let you into the program until it is successfully registered. If in doubt uninstall the trial version and reinstall the full version.
- If you are using the copy and paste method make sure that the text you are copying includes the capitalized START and END words (note that WebCam Recorder automatically 'pastes' the text in once you've copied it.
- If you are using the save to disk method check that the file name (webcam.txt) and location (the 'root' folder on the C: drive) are correct. Open the file and check that it is a copy of the email message and save again if necessary.
- Try saving the email message in WebCam Recorders program folder (C:\Program Files\Solent\WebCam) as webcam.dat.
- Open Notepad and copy and paste the email into it. Then save the file as 'C:\webcam.txt'.
